Emily Bohill

Founder and Managing Partner

Recognised leader and trusted advisor to the Real Assets industry.

As the Founder and Managing Partner, Emily leads senior searches and complex advisory mandates, as well as managing the relationships with many of our key clients. Emily has been advising on some of most prominent talent moves in the real assets market over the last 25 years. She is a regular thought leadership contributor, and a frequent host of industry roundtables, panel discussions and podcasts. She has deep and long-lasting relationships with a wide range of talented professionals across Europe. This experience puts her in an excellent position to advise leading real asset businesses on recruiting and retaining top talent.

Before she founded the firm with Alice Fontana in 2008, she ran the European real assets practice at Armstrong International and Sousou Partners. She was previously a founding member of the Soros-backed search firm Skillcapital. Emily graduated from Trinity College, Dublin and St. Petersburg State University with an MA in Business and Russian. She speaks French, German, Irish, Russian and Spanish.

Emily is Chair of The Story of Christmas, the property and construction industries’ charity that supports disadvantaged children and people experiencing homelessness. Emily is a committed social impact entrepreneur and is founder of Run Kids Run, an initiative to get children running, raising vital funds for state schools. Since 2020, the charity has raised over £1.4 million for schools. She has also instigated a network of Little Free Libraries for schools across London.

Alice Fontana

Founder and Managing Partner

Trusted advisor to global investors in the German speaking real assets market for 25 years. Passionate about people; leading by enabling others.

Alice Fontana is a Co-Founding Partner at Bohill Partners. From our Milan office, Alice leads our coverage of German-speaking Europe as well as Southern Europe, running searches and advisory projects for international and local businesses seeking DACH and Italy/Spain-focused professionals based locally or in London. She also runs many of our pan-European mandates.

She is very well networked in the European real asset investment market, particularly in Germany and Italy. Her years of advising clients at the highest level and leading senior searches across real assets and broader financial services give her an unrivalled ability to connect growing businesses with the best talent, wherever they might be.

Before she co-founded the firm with Emily Bohill in 2008, she specialised in both real estate and structured finance at Armstrong International, having started her career with Korn/Ferry International in Vienna. Alice graduated from the University of Vienna with a Master’s Degree in Psychology, subsequently obtaining a postgraduate degree in Clinical and Health Psychology.

Tania Azad

Managing Partner

An energetic and relationship focused leader, Tania has been an advisor to the global Private Equity community, building boards, investment/asset management teams and portfolio companies on behalf of some of the world’s strongest performing real estate investment firms. Tania is a passionate ambassador for ED&I and brings a significant track record of repeat clients within top tier private equity, credit, special situations, development and advisory firms. With an eye for spotting future leaders, Tania loves working on team builds as it provides an opportunity to build a culture as well as a team – as such, she has built relationships with key individuals globally.

Regularly hosting round table events to inform and harbour discussions within the real estate community, Tania also acts as a mentor to rising talent and plays an important role in coaching professionals in their real estate careers – she cares about investing into the talent of tomorrow as well as the talent of today. Prior to joining Bohill Partners, Tania worked with Ferguson Partners and Sousou Partners covering global mandates.

Tania achieved a BA English Literature with Honours from the University of Westminster in 2007, and before starting her career in executive search, worked as a journalist for W1 magazine.

Thomas Hughes

Managing Partner

Thomas Hughes is a Managing Partner of the firm with 20 years of experience in the real assets industry.

Thomas leads international assignments across both equity and debt and our UK work. These span senior and leadership roles in front office investment roles, business development, finance and operations for private equity, investment managers, institutional investors, property companies and portfolio companies.

Before he joined Bohill Partners in 2010, he spent six years at KPMG in the Alternative Investments Group, supporting the growth and development of the Real Estate Group’s global business. Thomas graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Geography and Geology.

Andreas Köttering

Senior Adviser

Andreas has more than 30 years of experience across infrastructure investing, investment management and corporate finance.

Prior to joining Bohill Partners in 2026, Andreas was Head of the European Infrastructure Investment Practice at CBRE Investment Management, where he also sat on the Direct Investment and Management Committees for Private Infrastructure Investing. He previously served as Co-Head of Infrastructure Europe at GIC and as Managing Director, Infrastructure EMEA, at CPP Investments.

Before moving across to investment management Andreas spent a number of years at Schroders and Citigroup, providing M&A and capital markets advice to clients in the infrastructure and utilities sectors. He also held positions as a principal investor at Siemens in Germany and Hong Kong, and as a project finance banker at KfW.

Andreas holds a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics and an MSc and DPhil in Agricultural Economics from the University of Oxford.

John Spurling

Non Executive Chair

John has 35 years experience in the Executive Search industry. In his last 2 positions he has helped to create and develop global business verticals within Heidrick & Struggles (2000-2010) and more latterly as an equity partner in Spencer Stuart (2010-2019). Prior to this he was a Main Board Director at Norman Broadbent International.

John has been involved in advising and hiring C suite leaders and Board Directors into a wide range of businesses spanning PE, Asset Management, Property Companies, Developers, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices, Corporates and Advisors.

John obtained an MBA from Edinburgh University.

Amy Franklin

Director

Amy Franklin is a Director at Bohill Partners and covers a broad range of mandates across Europe. She focuses predominantly on Continental European mandates and pan-European roles based out of London.

Having studied German and Spanish at university, Amy has a particular interest in these markets and has placed candidates across the DACH region and in Madrid. She has also completed projects in other European markets such as Italy, the Netherlands, and CEE.

Prior to joining Bohill Partners, Amy completed a six-month internship at Bosch in Stuttgart, where she worked on international projects with colleagues in Europe and Asia, and a three-month teaching placement in Barcelona. She read Modern Languages at Hertford College, Oxford, where she focused on German translation and modern literature.

Annie Graham

Vice President

Annie is a Vice President working on searches across the UK and Europe.

She joined Bohill Partners in 2018 and has quickly built a network within multiple sectors across Europe.

At Bohill Partners, Annie has worked on mandates across investment, asset management and development, and has recently developed a particularly strong track record in the NPL market.

Annie graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA in English. In her free time, she competes in show jumping, dressage and eventing and volunteers with her local Pony Club branch.

Lucy Johnson

Consultant

Lucy Johnson is a consultant for Bohill Partners, supporting searches across the UK and continental Europe.

Having interned at the company, Lucy joined the team as a part-time consultant, before taking a full-time role in January 2019. She has quickly built up her knowledge of real assets and has grown a strong network of candidates and contacts across multiple geographies and sectors.

At Bohill Partners, Lucy has worked on a range of mandates including investment, asset management, operations, development, finance and capital raising assignments. She has a particular expertise within credit funds, residential, retail and alternatives.

Prior to joining the firm, Lucy was a stunt woman and actress, and has worked on several film/TV productions including Vikings, Black Widow and Valhalla. Lucy graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Acting. In her free time, she is an International Fencer on the Irish team and works as a coach developer with Muslim Girls Fence, bringing the sport to local communities across the UK.

Vittoria Lucchese

Senior Associate

Vittoria Lucchese is a Senior Associate and works on pan-European mandates across ESG, investment, asset management, capital raising, and lending. As a native Italian speaker, Vittoria has a particular focus on southern European markets and is actively involved in the company’s business development efforts and placements in the region. Outside of Southern Europe, Vittoria has placed candidates in the UK, Germany, and Sweden.

Prior to joining Bohill Partners, Vittoria studied at the University of Warwick, where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Studies, before undertaking an MA in Theory and Practice of Human Rights at the University of Essex.

Vittoria is deeply passionate about humanitarianism and throughout her studies she was heavily involved in various volunteering initiatives both in the local community and with Amnesty International.

Andrew Mabbett

Director

Andrew (Drew) is a Director at Bohill Partners responsible for leading the execution of senior assignments across business leadership, investment, asset management, development and finance verticals. He leads our European living sector coverage and has additional expertise with CFO/COO hires alongside private markets capital raising.

Andrew has successfully placed senior candidates into a range of environments and cultures: recent clients include tier one global alternatives managers, public and private property and portfolio companies, developers, family offices and charitable foundations.

Prior to joining Bohill Partners in 2017, Andrew graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in History.

Margaux MacDougall

Senior Associate

Margaux MacDougall joined in 2022 and is a Senior Associate at Bohill Partners.

Born to Franco-British parents, Margaux grew up on the outskirts of Paris speaking both English and French. Before joining Bohill Partners, Margaux completed her BSc in Psychology at the Catholic University of Lille, later moving to the U.K to pursue an MRes in Social Anthropology at the University of St Andrews.

Margaux is passionate about reading, particularly regarding topics such as people and cultures, humanitarianism and political conflict.

Joseph Smith

Vice President

Joseph Smith is a Vice President, covering searches across capital raising, asset management, acquisitions and functional head roles. As a fluent German speaker, he works closely with Alice Fontana on searches in the DACH region, though he has also placed candidates in the UK, the Nordics, Benelux and France.

Alongside executive search, Joseph also leads our compensation advisory practice, delivering bespoke benchmarking exercises and designing compensation plans. His clients include institutional investment managers, private equity firms, property companies, pension funds and charitable foundations.

Prior to joining Bohill Partners, Joseph worked as tax adviser at Deloitte, focusing primarily on employment and social security taxes.

Joseph graduated from Somerville College, Oxford in 2017 with a degree in modern languages, during which time he worked in western Germany and Vienna whilst also completing an internship with the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Outside of work, Joseph is a keen travel enthusiast and enjoys exploring new places and learning about different cultures.

Ned Vowell

Associate

Ned joined Bohill Partners in 2024 as an Associate after graduating from St. Peter’s College, Oxford with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages.

Ned speaks German and Italian fluently. A year abroad in Germany and Italy saw him teach at a school in northern Italy and translate articles and social media content for a number of European football clubs.

Away from academia, Ned took part in consultancy projects and worked for the student newspaper whilst at university. In his free time, he likes travel, playing and watching sport, and cooking.

Kelly Ballard

Executive Assistant

Kelly joined Bohill Partners in September 2022 as an Executive Assistant to Thomas Hughes. She also provides support to the wider team on a variety of projects.

Kelly was born and raised in New Zealand and moved to London in 2017. Prior to joining Bohill Partners she worked as an Office Coordinator at Sayer Moore & Co Solicitors who specialise in Wills, Probate and Conveyancing.

In her spare time Kelly enjoys travelling, reading, and playing netball.

Paloma Belaunde

Head of Impact

Paloma Belaunde is Head of Impact at Bohill Partners, where she has been driving the firm’s ESG strategy by cultivating partnerships with industry organisations, charities, and running the firm’s own initiatives.

Paloma oversees Run Kids Run, the firm’s social impact charity, which since 2020 has raised over £1.4 million to expand educational opportunities for thousands of primary school children across London.

Before joining Bohill Partners, Paloma built her career across finance and marketing. She holds a BSc in Business and Finance from City University Business School. A Franco-Peruvian, Paloma has lived in the UK for over 30 years and is fluent in both French and Spanish.

Sophie Harrington

Executive Assistant

Sophie joined Bohill Partners in 2025 as Executive Assistant to Emily Bohill.

Prior to joining Bohill Partners, she worked as an Executive Assistant in both the real estate and education sectors, gaining broad experience in fast-paced, client-focused environments.

In her spare time, Sophie enjoys hiking, cooking, and playing golf.

Linzi Hildesley

Impact Coordinator

Linzi is part of the Impact Team at Bohill Partners, helping to drive forward social value initiatives, such as Run Kids Run and other ESG projects.

Previously, she was a Senior Business Development Manager at Clyde & Co, covering trade and commodities and corporate. Before moving into BD and Marketing, Linzi was a Corporate Lawyer.

Georgina Langton

Executive Assistant

Georgina joined Bohill Partners in 2021. She is the Executive Assistant to Tania Azad but also supports the wider team.

Before she joined Bohill Partners, Georgina spent 3 years working at UBS within the Group Corporate Services team, assisting Wealth Management. Georgina has a BA (Hons) in Education Studies from the University of Hertfordshire.

Georgina likes reading and trying different teas.

Cicci Lilja

Head of Finance

Cicci Lilja joined Bohill Partners in 2019 as Head of Finance.

With an extensive background in accounting Cicci has held several positions as Head of Finance in both the UK and her native Sweden. She particularly enjoys working in small to medium companies where she can work closely with the directors and make a real impact.

Cicci has a degree in Finance from IHM Business School. She has also studied engineering and music and is an avid trumpet player and lindy hopper.

Jessica Lüttmann-White

Executive Assistant

Jessica Lüttmann-White joined Bohill Partners in 2020 as an Executive Assistant to Alice Fontana. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for technology, Jessica provides invaluable support to the wider German team. As the Head of IT, she has spearheaded numerous improvements and innovations over the past few years, ensuring the company’s technological infrastructure is robust and efficient.

Born and raised in Germany, Jessica is bilingual and prior to joining Bohill Partners she worked as a Team Assistant/PA at Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn.

Jessica has a vocational degree in Business Administration and in her spare time she takes ice skating lessons.

Lucy Walker

Head of Operations

Lucy Walker is Head of Operations at Bohill Partners and has been a cornerstone of the firm since she joined in 2011. She has played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth, ensuring seamless office operations and fostering strong relationships with external service providers.

Before bringing her expertise to Bohill Partners, Lucy worked at Egon Zehnder, where she spent five years with the financial services team. Her journey began at Warburg Pincus, working within the LBO team, where she gained invaluable experience.

A graduate of Lancaster University with a degree in Law, Lucy is a prolific reader and takes great joy at being able to recommend the right book for the right person.
